The Dave and Geri Story

“THE DAVE & GERI STORY” would never have happened, if not for ....television.

Dave Jagger, a San Antonio native, started his career at KEEZ-FM in San Antonio. He did everything from on-air shifts to filling the coke machine. Dave had wanted to be in radio his entire life - so why was he working in television? It certainly wasn’t because of Geri Jarvis........she was still finishing college in the Dallas-Ft Worth area, and they hadn’t even met yet!

Dave wanted more airtime and moved to KVIC and then KXIX-TV in Victoria, Texas. Two years later, Geri Jarvis walked in looking for that “first tv break” and ended up as a reporter/weekend anchor. Within six months she was promoted to full time anchor, moved to a mid-day shift (when she met Dave) and the two were married in a gazebo in downtown Victoria four hours later. They did well at KVIC.....and year and a half later they had their first baby girl. The team was soon off to San Antonio where Dave worked for KLLS-FM following Bill Gardner and Cat Simon in mornings. Geri, now mom to two daughters, was flying traffic as “Geri in the Sky” and also doing an entertainment report for KSAT-TV.

An offer came from Grand Rapids, but Dave & Geri weren’t interested because life was good in San Antonio and they were surrounded by family. Three offers later, the duo agreed to do mornings at WLHT-FM.....and the family threatened to disown them. A gazillion community service and local appearances later, the dynamic husband and wife duo left WLHT just shy of their 20th anniversary to anchor a brand new signal in Grand Rapids, 105.3 WHTS.

After years of success and good ratings, the DAVE & GERI SHOW now await their next adventure, not in television - but in their real passion, local radio.
